What do you stand for?

Do you support companies that take your money, then never deliver your items ? Who won’t respond to your emails?

Why? Why support companies that don’t care about you?

My name is Shayna and I make raver clothing. I answer every question. I ship promptly. I make quality gear that lasts forever. I love my customers and I treat them with the respect they deserve. I know every one of my customers by name. I know what they ordered, when they ordered it and when I lovingly packaged it up and shipped it out to them.

Who would you rather buy from?

Some company that claims to be in “The Scene” yet takes your money, doesn’t ship your items for months and when you ask why, you never get a response ?

Then you still don’t receive your money or your item.

I hear from my customers time after time that this is common practice with my competitors.

I’ve had it!  Times are rough on everyone. Why swindle people out of their hard earned cash. Their job is to do one thing and that is to ship a sweat shop manufactored item from a wharehouse to your door and they don’t care enough about YOU to even do that right!!!

Why do you keep putting up with it!???

Don’t you want to support an artist who works tirelessly to bring you one of a kind fair trade items at a reasonable price?

Someone who does it because they don’t know you but never the less loves you and wants you to be happy…

Who toils relentlessly day and night to answer every email, every live chat, to find the best fabrics from reputable sources that aren’t exploiting children and the impoverished  peoples to bring YOU..

Something unique and truly amazing that you can feel proud to wear and hold your head up high knowing that it hurt no one and benefited an artisan that’s only desire is to bring you joy.

Again, my name is Shayna, I love my customers. I love what I do. Are you going to buy from these mainstream fat cats who are underhandedly destroying our scene and earnestly trying to put me and other small businesses out of business. Or are you going to support the under dog and in doing so be wowed at what customer service should be and what quality craftsmanship should be and …

Stand up for what our scene stands for which is ORIGINALITY.

Because when you shop One of a Kind you are saying that you will not let mainstream companies tell you what to buy. Yes you might spend $5-$10 more but you will definitely receive the item you paid for.

So are you going to wait around for 6 months for your ufos to arrive from a company who doesn’t even know your name

or are you going to receive a pair of one of a kind, handmade with loving care, and attention to every detail phats, that will arrive in 3-5 days with a hand written note of appreciation and a special handmade gift that was made just for you?

You create the future of our scene. You can stand stand for something that represents what our scene was founded on (the peace and unity that binds us) or you can fall for the tricks of people just trying to make a buck off of you.

Ello Friends!

Did you know that ELC takes Requests for Shop Items? If you didn’t, check this out! At the top of the site, there is a link right next to “Quality Faqs”, that says “Request an Item”. It’s a form for you to submit what YOU would like to see made and posted in the shop. So if you haven’t seen what you are looking for,  just submit your request and I will get right back to you.

Did you like the new Fleece Lounge Pants? I am now taking requests for different colors , sizes and designs. They will be available in Small waist size 34 and under, Medium waist size 38 and under, Large waist size 42 and under and X Large waist size 52 and under. Length will be up to you! Many colors and prints to choose from! I will have a new build your own page up this week, so keep an eye out!

» So It’s Your First Rave

We all have had our first rave to go to and we have asked ourselves, what is this all about? What do I expect, what do I wear, how should I act? There was something or someone who got us to this point. Either it was a song we couldn’t get out of our heads or a friend who wanted us to join them on an adventure. No matter what the circumstance, you are about to go to your first rave and you don’t know exactly what to expect or how to roll. It’s all good! We all started out here and you can fret about not doing it right or being judged because your not “hip” with it” but the fact of the matter is that you are the master of your own fate and if you treat people right,  you will be alright.

I have personally been going to raves for about 16 years now and I think the best advise I can give you is to be respectful. Not only respectful of the other people but also respect yourself. Go for the music. That’s what raves are, they are electronic music venues. The DJ’s work incredibly hard to entertain you, unite you and show you a new perspective. Don’t go to get laid, do drugs and make an ass out of yourself.

There is a reason that the ravers creed is “PLUR” or “PLURR”.

This stands for : Peace | Love | Unity | Respect | Responsibility

These are the values our underground community cherish and try to foster in our dealings with other ravers.

Once you go to a couple raves you will notice that you will start to understand the deeper meaning of these words and hopefully find your “raver family”.

So what to wear?

Wear sensible shoes! I can’t stress this enough! No high heels or crazy platforms that you are going to break an ankle in dancing! Sneakers/Tennis Shoes are the best foot wear for raves as you are going to be dancing.. a lot.

Think about the type of venue you are going to. Is it going to be inside or outside, is it going to be in the middle of winter or summer. Remember that like any other event, you need to dress appropriately for the weather and venue type. Use common sense when making your wardrobe decisions.

Wear clothing that will let you move freely. There’s nothing worse then trying to dance in uncomfortable clothing.

Guys find that wearing phat pants and a funky TShirt allows them to shuffle/dance more easily. As apposed to tight fitting pants and muscle shirts.

Girls, you have tons of great options when it comes to rave attire. You can kick it old school in phat pants and a cute Tee. Or you can go for the New School route with Fluffies, a Mini Skirt or Booty Shorts and a crop top or bikini top.

Remember Originality is the key here! Raves are a way to express your truest self. Show the world how unique and imaginative you can be. Making your own outfits or buying handmade one of a kind items help you stand out in the crowd and get noticed. It’s also a great ice breaker and super way to meet new friends.

One of the main reasons I started my business was because I always met so many incredible people just b/c I had made my outfit from scratch. It was a wonderful feeling meeting like minded people who dug what I made and inspired me to share my creations with my “rave family” and allow them to experience that same great feeling of originality and uniqueness.

Sex, Drugs and Techno~

Like I said before, you should be going to your first rave because of the MUSIC! Not the Drugs, Not the Sex, yadda yadda yadda…

Hey, I don’t judge anyone, ever. I’m not going to lie to you either. I’ve raved on drugs and I’ve gone to raves completely sober. Either way, I had a brilliant time. If you choose to do drugs, I suggest doing it responsibly.  Click here and read about being a responsible raver.

My only comment on sex is it’s your business. Might I suggest though, that you use protection as not to catch something or get knocked up.

There are many sites on the web with great information. If I missed something, post a comment and I will try to help you out. You can also use this really nifty new thing called the interwebs to search for the answer to your particular question. Honestly, I’m sure someone has had the same question as you and I’m sure you will find the answer fairly quickly.
